The 3rd June 2025 Uganda Martyrs Celebration at Namugongo promises to be a momentous occasion, uniting millions of pilgrims from Uganda and beyond. This year’s event, themed “Walking in the Footsteps of the Martyrs for a Faithful Journey,” will honor the courage and unwavering faith of the 22 Catholic and 23 Anglican martyrs canonized in 1964. Hosted by Lugazi Diocese, the celebration will feature vibrant liturgical services, cultural performances, and spiritual reflections at the iconic Namugongo shrine.
