Lugazi, Uganda \u2013 July 26, 2025:<\/strong> The Catholic Diocese of Lugazi will today rejoice in a moment of great spiritual significance as it celebrates the Ordination of new priests and Deacons<\/strong>\u00a0at Lugazi Cathedral.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The sacred ceremony, presided over by His Lordship the Rt. Rev. C. Kakooza <\/strong>, will mark the formal entry of the 14 candidates into the priesthood, answering God\u2019s call to serve His people.<\/p>

The event is expected to draw clergy, religious, and faithful from across the diocese and beyond, in a powerful witness to unity, faith, and mission. The ordination Mass will include the laying on of hands, prayer of consecration, and the vesting of the new priests \u2014 a tradition rooted in the apostolic heritage of the Church.<\/p>

Speaking ahead of the celebration, Bishop Kakooza said, \u201cThis ordination is a sign of God\u2019s continued love for His Church and a call for all of us to renew our own commitment to discipleship and service.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

The newly ordained priests will be assigned to various parishes and apostolates across the diocese, strengthening the Church\u2019s mission in evangelization, pastoral care, and community development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
