AUGUSTINE SEETA CATHOLIC PARISH<\/strong><br><strong>18th April 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,<br>Distinguished Guests,<br>Religious and Civil Leaders,<br>And All People of Goodwill,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Praise be Jesus Christ!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With hearts full of gratitude and joy, we gather to celebrate a sacred and historic moment in the life of our Church\u2014the <strong>Dedication and Consecration of St. Augustine Seeta Catholic Parish<\/strong>, taking place on <strong>18th April 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This solemn occasion will be presided over by <strong>Rt. Rev. Christopher Kakooza<\/strong>, the Bishop of Lugazi Diocese, who will officially dedicate this church to the service of God and consecrate it as a holy place of worship for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We give thanks to God for the gift of this parish and for the pastoral leadership entrusted to <strong>Fr. Godfrey Mboowa<\/strong>, the Parish Priest, whose guidance and dedication continue to nurture and strengthen this Christian community. We also recognize with appreciation the committed leadership of <strong>Mr. Joseph Walugembe<\/strong>, Head of the Laity, whose service reflects the active and vital role of the faithful in building the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\u2019s dedication and consecration is not merely the blessing of a structure, but the sanctification of a spiritual home\u2014a place where the Eucharist will be celebrated, the Sacraments administered, and the faithful nourished in word and deed. It marks the fulfillment of a journey defined by faith, unity, and sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>\u201c<em><strong>Today, we celebrate not just the opening of a parish, but the birth of a vibrant spiritual home. May St. Augustine guide this community in truth and love, and may the Lord bless all who have made this dream a reality<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d<\/summary>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation to all the faithful, benefactors, and well-wishers who have contributed generously towards the construction and development of this church. Through your unwavering support\u2014financial, material, and spiritual\u2014you have helped raise a \u0434\u043e\u0441\u0442\u043e\u0439 house for the Lord and a center of hope for the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>As Scripture reminds us:<br><em>\u201cUnless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.\u201d<\/em> (Psalm 127:1)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, it is by God\u2019s grace that this milestone has been achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consecration of this church now calls each one of us to a renewed commitment\u2014to live our faith more deeply, to support the mission of the Church, and to ensure that this parish remains a beacon of light, love, and service in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May this sacred place inspire stronger faith among families, guide the youth toward purposeful living, and serve as a refuge for all who seek God\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we dedicate this church to the Lord under the patronage of St. Augustine, may we also dedicate ourselves anew to Christ and His mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On behalf of the Church leadership, we extend heartfelt congratulations to the entire St. Augustine Seeta Catholic Parish community. The rite includes the blessing with holy water, proclamation of the Word of God, invocation of the saints, and the prayer of dedication. The altar and walls are then anointed with sacred chrism, signifying that the church is a holy place and that the altar represents Christ Himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony continues with the burning of incense, lighting of candles, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist\u2014the first Mass on the newly consecrated altar.
